June 24th, 2019 Looking for a fun way to make new people feel welcome in your youth ministry? This is a simple, crazy, and fun game to get everyone involved and feeling wanted! Materials Needed: Joyful participants
How To Play: Split your group into two clusters and have them stand in different parts of the room. After they have done this announce that you would like the shortest person in their clusters to leave and go to the middle of the room. It's now the group's job to convince all of the people in the middle to join their cluster. After everyone has chosen a group you can name another type of person to go to the middle. Examples: shortest hair, youngest, tallest, lives farthest away, person who has broken the most bones, etc. Towards the end of the game the group with the most people wins!
Everyone in the clusters will be going crazy trying to get the people in the middle to join their side! Try to curve any negative talk, but odds are people will be trying to sweet talk the people in the middle. This can lead to a great conversation about inclusion. It feels great to be wanted and we should strive to make everyone we encounter feel wanted.
