Manus Christi, our diocesan mission and service program that brings teens from all over the country, is in full swing at Mary Help of Christians Pastoral Center, loving and serving families in the heart of our great state! Through this program, high schoolers are invited to be the Hands of Christ to one another as shown in Teresa of Avila's Prayer for a Busy Life. They begin the day in prayer, go out to homes of families chosen by the local Catholic Charities to offer small home repair throughout each day, help on our farm to aid in putting more healthy foods into our local food banks, have fun learning about Catholic Social Teaching through our ropes elements and goofy games, spend time in fellowship with one another while embracing WV culture, and get immersed in the sacraments through the Eucharist and Reconciliation. Manus Christi is open to groups from all over the country, as well as to individuals from throughout WV. This is the seventh year of Manus Christi and we have more participants than ever. Our summer staff, who run both this and Camp Bosco, are having a blast growing the young church, and they've shown themselves to have huge hearts for loving the Lord and all His people.
